Terms of Service

By using Alara you agree to these terms. They are intentionally short and plain.

Invite-only beta

Alara is currently in a private, invite-only beta. Access requires a valid invite code or an approved access request. Invite codes are personal — please don't share them publicly. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice during the beta.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for all activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Alara.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Alara to:

• Create, request, or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, harassing, hateful, or sexually exploitative — especially anything involving minors.
• Attempt to harm, defraud, threaten, dox, or impersonate other people.
• Generate malware, weapons instructions, or content designed to cause physical or financial harm.
• Probe, attack, overload, or attempt to bypass the security or rate limits of Alara or its providers.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the service.
• Use Alara's output to deceive others about whether content was AI-generated where disclosure is required.

Your content

You own the content you write into Alara. You grant us the limited permission needed to store your content and send it to our AI provider to generate responses. We do not train models on your conversations and we do not sell your data — see the Privacy Policy.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or put other users or the platform at risk. Where reasonable we'll give you notice, but in serious cases (illegal activity, security threats, harm to others) we may act immediately. You can stop using Alara and delete your account at any time from Settings.

Service provided as-is

Alara is provided "as is" during the beta, without warranties of any kind. The service may be unavailable, slow, or behave unexpectedly. Alara's responses can be wrong, biased, or out of date — treat them as a thinking partner, not as professional, legal, medical, or financial advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes

We may update these terms as Alara evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated in-app or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
